ABOUT
Maybe you know something needs to change, but you're not quite sure what—or where to begin. You may be overwhelmed, burned out, navigating a transition, or carrying emotions you've gotten used to managing on your own. And if therapy is new to you, even figuring out what to say or what you're supposed to do can feel like another thing to get right.
You don't have to figure that out before you get here. I work especially well with people who are new to therapy or looking for a space that feels affirming without feeling passive. I'll meet you where you are, help you make sense of what's happening, and offer direction when you need it.
As a woman of color, I also understand that identity, culture, expectations, and the things we learn not to talk about can shape how we experience ourselves and ask for support. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, depression, emotional overwhelm, identity exploration, and major life transitions.
APPROACH
My approach is affirming, collaborative, and active. I'll give you room to process without expecting you to lead every conversation on your own. When you're feeling stuck, I'll ask questions, offer perspective, help you identify patterns, and work with you to find practical ways forward.
I draw from humanistic therapy, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, adapting our work to what you need. Sometimes that means developing concrete skills to manage difficult emotions; other times it means slowing down enough to understand what's underneath them.
You don't need to arrive with the right words or a clear destination. My role is to stay alongside you through the difficult parts while helping you build the clarity, skills, and confidence to move forward.
